This time under review MTurk - Amazon marketplace for workers.
But what actually is MTurk and what does it do? is it legal? will it pay me?
MTurk is a part of Amazon and therefor it is 100% legal and is guaranteed by Amazon.
The payments fall into 2 categories:
1) For USA and Canada - You can transfer the money to your Amazon gift card and withdraw it from there to your bank account.
2) As for now, international users can not withdraw money, instead they can transfer the earned funds to Amazon gift cards which can be used to buy items from Amazon store.
(P.S Transfering funds from MTurk to Amazon takes only a few minutes.)
MTurk is a site where people can do so called "micro jobs". The "micro jobs" are called HITS - Human Intelligence Tasks. This means these are the types of jobs that computers are really not capable of doing and require human help.
Signing up is easy USE THIS LINK in the right upper corner click sign up as Worker. It will lead you to a page where you can sign up or log in.
But what types of jobs are there exactly?
Well there are hundreds of thousands of jobs available daily. Some of which require you to qualify by completing a short test. But don't worry about it, most of them are really simple and all of them can be found under qualifications tab.
Job types usually are:
- Translating (most languages represented)
- Reviewing texts
- Writing texts
- Uploading files
- Joining sites
- Trying games
- Making sure pictures / videos do not violate site policies.
- Finding random things for people
- Collecting Data
- Writing articles
The HITS are usually very well built and easy to follow (good descriptions of what is expected of you) and most of them are easy to complete.
How much will i be paid?
Different tasks have different values, some picture viewing might give you 1-2 cents, while translating or copy-writing can pay up to 10$ per job. There are jobs for almost everyone from very simple tasks to complex writings. The payments may take some time, sometimes a week to be transferred to you. If you complete a task, you will receive the message that the payment is pending for that current task. This means the money will be transferred to your account soon.
I have used MTurk for a while now. If you get into it you can earn quite well for home working. Depending what you do earnings can go up to 10$ per hour. But most importantly it is completely LEGAL AND THEY WILL PAY YOU.
